Established “at will” agreement for new position to help develop an industrial business unit targeting food processors for the liquid recycling of oil/grease by-products, and expense controls related to production/sanitation waste water management. Though company was and still is competitive from a service and sales perspective in their core business serving foodservice operators, company could not compete from a price point or service capacity within food processor segment necessary to generate any reasonable ROI. Due to this effort over 18 months in addition to a major fire at company’s flagship recycling and processing plant, a self-initiated collaborative effort led to a volunteer layoff in order to preserve jobs supporting company's core business.
